The Scottish Emerging Theatre Awards 2021 are a celebration of the emerging talent in Scottish theatre. Featuring 10 categories designed to showcase the best of the sector, we are pleased to present the inaugural awards to recognise the amazing work that often goes unnoticed.

Recipients will receive an hour-long networking session with an established theatre company, designed to support their development!
The Categories:
New Grad Award - supported by hidden route - Celebrating an emerging artist who completed their studies in 2021 alongside creating theatre.
Student Theatre Award - supported by Wonderfools - Celebrating an organisation creating exciting work with a community of students.
Flourish Award - supported by Vanishing Point - Celebrating a standout artist who has progressed greatly in the past year.
Community Award - supported by the Citizens Theatre - Celebrating an emerging theatre practitioner or project making a difference through theatre.
Innovate Award - supported by Grid Iron - Celebrating a project that pushed boundaries of form, delivered by emerging theatre makers.
New Writing Award - supported by the Traverse Theatre - Celebrating a show of fresh writing created by emerging artists.
Digital Award - supported by the Lyceum Theatre - Celebrating an outstanding online production delivered remotely to audiences.
Production of the Year - supported by Stellar Quines - Celebrating an exceptional production created by emerging theatre artists.
Company of the Year - supported by Dogstar - Celebrating an emerging theatre company making significant strides in their work.
Artist of the Year - supported by National Theatre of Scotland - Celebrating an emerging theatre maker creating exceptional work.
